I-beam piles are special wide-flange H-beams with the same flange and web thickness, a feature that helps maintain structural integrity when obstacles are encountered during driving. With I-beam piles, the building load can be transferred into the load-bearing piles through the pile caps. The I-beam pile is basically the same as the I-beam section, but the I-beam pile has a uniform thickness throughout the section.

Constructed from a variety of steels including S275, S355 and S460 steels to BS EN 10025 and BS EN 10248.

Suitable for hard excavation in difficult ground conditions (such as silty sand, fine sand, hydrated sand with pebbles and boulders, or dense sand/frozen soil) and can be effective on rock or similar hard formations solution.

Often installed on abutment foundations in heavy industry and port developments, the I-beam pile is very environmentally friendly as it is a low displacement pile that produces no waste and can be extracted and reused after the structure is decommissioned.
